Job summary

Amergis, a healthcare staffing partner, is seeking a Psychiatric/Mental Health Registered Nurse to deliver comprehensive care to patients with mental health and substance use disorders. The PMH RN will assess, diagnose, and treat in diverse settings, using strong clinical judgment and critical thinking.

Minimum requirements include active Iowa RN license, CPR, health certificate, and ability to meet state and federal regulations.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in-state practicing.
• Current CPR certification.
• TB questionnaire/PPD or chest X-ray if applicable.
• Current health certificate per contract or state regulation.
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and treat mental health and substance use disorders.
• Demonstrate clinical judgment and critical thinking in patient care coordination.
• Work in diverse settings delivering comprehensive psychiatric nursing care.
• Provide education and support to patients, families and communities when applicable.
