Job summary

Amergis is seeking a Psychiatric/Mental Health Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive PMH nursing care across diverse settings. The role emphasizes prevention, education, assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health and substance use disorders with strong clinical judgment and coordination of care.

Minimum requirements include Iowa RN licensure, CPR if applicable, TB screening, health certificate, and compliance with federal/state regulations.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in-state practicing.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive PMH nursing care to individuals, families and communities.
• Assess, diagnose, and treat mental health and substance use disorders.
• Promote well-being through prevention and education.
• Coordinate patient care with the health care team.
