Job summary

Applegreen USA Welcome Centers Central Services is hiring a Custodian to perform cleaning duties across our travel plazas. You will ensure a hygienic, welcoming environment for travelers and staff by cleaning bathrooms, dining areas and common spaces with proper chemicals and tools.

We value friendly, energetic team members with reliable attendance and the ability to handle physical tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates the ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner.
• Cash handling and customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completes cleaning duties throughout the plaza to ensure a pleasant, hygienic experience for travelers.
• Uses cleaning chemicals, tools and equipment appropriately for tasks.
• Cleans toilets, walls, windows, tables, refrigerators and other equipment as needed.
• Removes trash to designated areas; sweeps, mops, scrubs and buffs floors.
• Maintains a clean and organized lobby and dining area.
• Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas by hand or hand truck.
• Loads and unloads supply trucks.
• Follows all security, sanitation, and safety procedures established by the Company.
• Interacts with the public and coworkers in a friendly, energetic manner.
