Applegreen USA Welcome Centers Central Services is seeking a Custodian at the Ernie Pyle Travel Plaza to maintain clean, welcoming spaces for travelers. You’ll perform a range of cleaning tasks and use proper chemicals, tools and safety procedures to keep toilets, walls, floors and dining areas in pristine condition.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates the ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner.
• Cash handling and customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• As a Custodian, you will be responsible for completing a variety of cleaning duties throughout the plaza to ensure our customers (Travelers) have a pleasant, hygienic experience in our facility.
• Utilizes the appropriate cleaning chemicals, tools and equipment to complete tasks.
• Cleans toilets, walls, windows, worktables, refrigerators, and other equipment as necessary using appropriate equipment, tools and supplies.
• Removes trash and garbage to designated areas.
• Thoroughly sweeps, mops, scrubs, and buffs floors.
• Maintain a clean and organized lobby and dining area.
• Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas by hand or hand truck
• Loads and unloads supply trucks.
• Follows all security, sanitation, and safety procedures established by the Company.
• Frequently immerse hands in water and water diluted with chemical solutions.
• Demonstrates the ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner.
