Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care for a travel nursing job in Baltimore, Maryland. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of acute care experience and hold BLS, PALS and ACLS certifications.

Expect a 13-week assignment with 36 hours per week on a 12-hour rotating shift. You will provide critical pediatric care as part of a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with physicians, specialists and families to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of recent acute care experience
• Ability to work in a high-intensity PICU setting
• Willingness to commit to a 13-week travel assignment

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients' vital signs and initiate corrective actions
• Follow cardiac and respiratory monitor readings and report changes
• Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs
• Monitor and adjust equipment such as ventilators
• Assist physicians during examinations, treatments and procedures
• Assist with placement or removal of CV catheters and endotracheal tubes
