Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care for a travel nursing job in Aurora, Colorado. This role requires 1-2 years of acute care experience and includes a 36-hour work week with 12-hour rotating shifts.

As a PICU Travel Nurse, you’ll provide critical pediatric care as part of a multi-disciplinary team, collaborating with physicians and families to ensure high-quality care for children and teens with varying conditions.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years' recent acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients' vital signs and initiate corrective action as needed.
• Follow continuous cardiac/respiratory monitors (EKG, O2, CVP/arterial lines) and report changes.
• Change dressings, insert catheters, start IVs (central venous/arterial).
• Monitor and adjust ventilators and other critical equipment.
• Assist physician during examinations, treatments, and procedures.
