Northwell Career Site seeks a Pediatric ICU nurse with 2+ years of PICU experience. Requires BLS and PALS and willingness to travel 60+ miles from the facility to qualify for travel rate.

The nurse will perform age-specific care using the nursing process, collaborate with physicians, and lead the care team to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes. Strong documentation and communication are essential.

Formación

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing; Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• 2+ years of professional nursing experience in the PICU/related specialty.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in NY and/or CT is required.
• BLS required, plus specialized certifications as needed (PALS).

Responsabilidades

• Assesses the patient’s physiologic health status and plans care.
• Assesses patient’s psychosocial health status and communicates care plan.
• Identifies patient outcomes and develops individualized goals.
• Formulates and prioritizes the plan of care; coordinates resources and medications.
• Implements the plan of care, ensures patient safety, and documents care.
• Evaluates care effectiveness and collaborates with the care team.
