Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Travel PICU RN for a 13-week assignment in Santa Clara, CA. You will provide advanced pediatric critical care, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team in a high-acuity setting.

The role requires one year of PICU experience, valid RN license in California, and current BLS; PALS or ENPC is also required. Travel opportunity includes competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• One year of PICU RN experience required.
• Valid RN license in accordance with state regulations.
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification.
• PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC certification.

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures to patients and families to ensure understanding and support.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per pediatric nursing protocols.
• Operate and assist with advanced equipment (ventilators, central lines, monitors).
• Monitor patient conditions and notify physicians of changes.
• Interpret vitals and intervene rapidly when needed.
• Respond to life-saving situations per pediatric ICU standards.
• Educate patient and family as prescribed by physician/hospital policy.
• Document histories and assessments in medical records.
• Perform other duties within scope of practice.
• Follow safety, infection control, and regulatory guidelines.
