Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Travel PICU RN for a 13-week assignment in Oakland, CA. The role provides advanced pediatric critical care to infants, children, and adolescents in a high-acuity setting, with opportunities to work with a dedicated clinical team and travel benefits.

You will administer medications, operate critical equipment, monitor vitals, and collaborate with physicians to ensure patient safety and quality care.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a PICU RN.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification.
• PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC certification.
• ACLS (AHA/ARC) certification preferred.
• CCRN certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures and treatments to pediatric patients and families.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per protocol.
• Prepare and operate advanced medical equipment (ventilators, central lines, monitors).
• Monitor patient conditions and notify physicians of critical changes.
• Interpret vital signs and initiate rapid interventions when needed.
• Respond to life‑saving situations per pediatric ICU standards.
• Document histories and assessments in medical records.
• Provide patient education as prescribed by a physician.
• Adhere to hospital safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.
