Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a skilled Travel PICU RN for a 13-week assignment. You will provide advanced pediatric critical care, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and deliver high-quality patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• One year of recent PICU RN experience required.
• Valid RN license in Ohio or compact state.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• PALS or ENPC certification required.

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures and treatments to pediatric patients and families; provide emotional support.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to pediatric protocols.
• Prepare and operate advanced medical equipment (ventilators, central lines, monitors).
• Monitor patient conditions and notify physicians of critical changes.
• Monitor vital signs and interpret data; initiate rapid interventions when needed.
• Respond to life-threatening pediatric situations per unit standards.
• Initiate patient education plans with physicians’ guidance.
• Document patient histories and assessments in medical records.
• Perform other duties within scope of practice as needed.
• Adhere to safety protocols, infection control, and regulatory standards.
