Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric ICU position in Montana. The role requires MT or Compact RN licensure, BLS/PALS, and at least 2 years of PICU experience.

The unit spans 18 beds with PICU and MedSurg beds, offering 12-hour night shifts and weekend coverage, with potential float to NICU and Postpartum. Orientation includes NEO and unit shifts; housing allowance, travel and licensure reimbursements are available.

Qualifications

• Active RN license MT or Compact required.
• BLS and PALS certifications required.
• Minimum 2 years PICU experience; 3 years if direct transition from nursing school.
• Skilled in starting IVs, foleys, dressing changes, wound care and device management.
• Experience with discharging skills required.
• Minimum 2 professional references dated within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Care for pediatric patients in an 18-bed unit split between PICU and MedSurg beds.
• Manage vent/trach and critical devices; EVDs and shunts monitored.
• Peds patients with respiratory, medical, surgical, trauma and neuro needs.
• No cardiac surgeries, dialysis, CRRT, ECMO, transplants or major burns.
• RNs may float to NICU and Postpartum for lower acuity patients.
