Job summary

AccentCare in Texas is hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant to work under a licensed Physical Therapist. This full-time position covers Plano, McKinney, and Frisco, providing patient care, documentation, and education as part of an interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications include an associate degree in Physical Therapy, valid license to practice, CPR certification, and a valid driver's license for travel to multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Associates degree from an accredited school of Physical Therapy.
• Valid license/permit to practice in state of operation.
• Must possess and maintain CPR certification while employed.
• Licensed driver capable of traveling to all business locations.
• Ability to educate patients and families in safety and medical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care and documents treatment in accordance with physicians orders, agency policy and patient needs.
• Documents appropriate interventions, approaches, strategies, materials and establishing treatment priorities.
• Provides organized and efficient patient treatment which includes advising, educating and counseling the patient.
• Presents pertinent patient information to supervising therapist and keeps team informed of patient status.
• Provides appropriate skilled treatment to patients according to patient needs and within the parameters set by the agency and payer.
• Seeks and accepts assistance from team members in treatment planning and intervention.
• Accurately documents, completes and submits daily notes, assists with other required forms in a timely manner to prevent interruptions in patient care.
• Meets agency productivity standards and uses work hours efficiently.
• Attends and participates in agency meetings and committees as assigned.
• Appropriately negotiates the patient' s participation in treatment, treatment times and treatment plans.
