Job summary

HealthForce Healthcare in Hayward, California is seeking a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant for a 13-week LTAC travel assignment. The role provides $1,445–$1,488 per week for 35 guaranteed hours, starting 11/09/2026, with shifts from 08:00 to 16:30.

Under licensed PT supervision, you will perform PTA interventions, assist with mobility and ADL training, document progress, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance. A California license (or eligibility) and an associate degree are required.

Qualifications

• Active California Physical Therapy Assistant license or eligible for licensure.
• Associate degree in Physical Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Implement prescribed PTA interventions under licensed PT supervision, including therapeutic exercises, gait training, ROM, and mobility facilitation.
• Support patient mobility and functional independence through targeted activities and ADL training.
• Assist with patient assessments, document progress, and communicate changes to the supervising PT.
• Maintain accurate charting and timely documentation, ensuring regulatory and facility standards are met.
• Promote patient safety and proper body mechanics, with adherence to infection control and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to adjust plans of care and address patient needs.
