Job summary

Centra Healthcare Solutions is seeking an experienced or newly graduated Physical Therapist Assistant/PTA for a contract assignment. The PTA works under the supervision of a Registered or Licensed Physical Therapist to improve mobility and relieve pain through proven treatments and modalities prescribed by a physician.

Requirements include an Associate degree, current PTA license or licensure in process, and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Must have earned an Associates degree from an accredited school.
• Current state license as a PTA or in process for licensure.
• Current CPR certification.
• Provide skilled physical therapy services under the supervision of a Registered or Licensed Physical Therapist.
• Implement and modify the patient’s physical therapy plan under supervision.
• Collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to meet patient goals.

Responsibilities

• Deliver PTA services under PT supervision and physician orders.
• Utilize modalities such as massage, electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and paraffin as prescribed.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans with the supervising PT.
