Job summary

Centra Healthcare Solutions is seeking an experienced or newly graduated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join an outpatient facility on a contract basis. The PTA works under the supervision of a Registered or Licensed PT to help improve mobility and relieve pain as directed by physician orders.

Shift: Mon-Thu 7 AM–3 PM or 12 PM–8 PM; Fridays 10 AM–6 PM. Responsibilities include performing interventions such as electrical stimulation, paraffin baths, ultrasound, and therapeutic exercises

Qualifications

• Must have earned an Associate's degree from an accredited school.
• Current CPR certification.
• Current state license as a PTA or actively pursuing licensure.
• Provide skilled PT services under supervision and follow physician orders.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to meet patient goals.

Responsibilities

• Perform PTA services under the supervision of a PT.
• Implement and modify the patient's plan of treatment as directed.
• Use treatment procedures (e.g., electrical stimulation, manual techniques, exercises).
• Document patient progress and coordinate with the care team.

A great Outpatient facility is looking for an experienced or newly graduated Physical Therapist Assistant / Physical Therapy Assistant / PTA to join their growing team for a contract assignment!The Physical Therapist Assistant / Physical Therapy Assistant / PTA works under the supervision of either Registered or Licensed Physical Therapists. The Physical Therapist Assistant / Physical Therapy Assistant / PTA will use physical treatment procedures to help improve mobility and relieve pain and disability caused by disease or injury.

Some of the techniques that the PTA will use for treating a patient include:

• massages
• electrical stimulation
• paraffin baths
• hot and cold packs
• traction and ultrasound
• other assigned exercises

Shift: Monday - Thursday 2 shifts 7 AM - 3 PM, 2 shifts Noon - 8 PM and Fridays 10 AM - 6 PM

Requirements include:

• Must have earned an Associates degree from an accredited school.
• Current state license as a Physical Therapist Assistant / PTA or proactively in the process of the application process for current state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant / Physical Therapy Assistant / PTA.
• Current CPR certification.
• Provide skilled physical therapy services / interventions in accordance with physician orders and under the supervision of a Registered or Licensed Physical Therapist / PT.
• Implement and modify the patient's physical therapy plan of treatment under the supervision of a Registered or Licensed Physical Therapist / PT.
• Effectively collaborates within an interdisciplinary team to meet patients goals.
