Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for an immediate opening in Decatur, IL. The PT will be responsible for evaluation, development and execution of a plan of care for diverse patient populations in the acute care setting.

Requirements include 1 year of PT experience (6 months may be considered for exceptional cases), BLS and state-specific licensing. The assignment runs 13 weeks with 35 hours per week, days shift, with supervision of PTAs and coordination with medical staff.

Qualifications

• Must have 1 year of PT experience; new grads may be considered with appropriate background.
• Must have BLS and state-specific licensing.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods and knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and develop a plan of care for patient populations in acute care.
• Oversee supervising PTAs and therapy staff.
• Bill within setting guidelines and ensure documentation complies with state and insurance rules.
• Interface with medical center personnel and physicians to support a team-based plan of care.
