Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a skilled nursing unit setting inside a hospital campus in West Virginia. The role requires at least 1 year of PT experience, and BLS plus the appropriate PT license (WV Board license or PT Compact) depending on eligibility.

Responsibilities include coverage across floors, potential acute care in another unit, and collaboration with PTAs and a rehab aide. MEDITECH charting is used; dress code requires royal blue scrubs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience required.
• Current BLS (AHA) certification required.
• Physical Therapist License, Temporary License through the West Virginia Board of Physical Therapists, or PT Compact License required if applicable

Responsibilities

• LTC/SNF care setting on a 19-bed skilled nursing unit within an orthopedic hospital campus.
• Possible acute care coverage in the joint connection unit.
• Days shift, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM; weekend coverage required.
• Must be able to cover all floors of the hospital as needed.
• Utilizes MEDITECH for charting.
• Works alongside PTAs and a rehab aide as part of the therapy team.
• Department-specific orientation provided.
• Royal blue scrubs required as part of dress code.

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
• Returning WVU Medicine travelers must have taken a 2-year break before reapplying, and cumulative time within WVU facilities cannot exceed 1 year without a 2-year break
