Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a Travel Physical Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Sullivan, Missouri. The PT will supervise staff, manage daily documentation, and collaborate with physicians to ensure a coordinated plan of care.

Must have BLS and state licensure, with 6 months of experience (6 months may be accepted for exceptional candidates). This travel role requires 40 hours per week with 10-hour days, treating patients across a surgical/acute care setting.

Qualifications

• 6 months of experience required; new grads encouraged.
• BLS certification and state-specific licensing required.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods; knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Oversee supervising PTAs and therapy staff.
• Bill within the setting following facility guidelines.
• Comply with PT board rules and state regulations.
• Interface with Medical Center staff and physicians to coordinate plan of care.
• Understand adaptive equipment.
• Evaluate and modify the plan of care as patient status changes.
• Use Medical Center computer systems daily.
• Provide timely documentation per state/insurance guidelines.

We are looking for a Physical Therapist (PT) for an immediate travel opening in Sullivan, MO. The right PT should have 1 year of experience; for an exceptional candidate with an appropriate background, 6 months of experience may be accepted. Read below for additional requirements.

Tasks

• Oversee supervising PTAs, support staff (therapy technicians)
• Bill within the respective setting, following guidelines within settings for facility
• Understand the respective PT board's rules and regulations, complying within respective state
• Interface with Medical Center personnel and physicians to ensure team-focused plan of care
• Understand adaptive equipment
• Evaluate and create a plan of care
• Modify plan of care as indicated based on patient's condition
• Use Medical Center computer systems in performance of daily tasks
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines

Requirements

Must have 6 months of experience; however, new grads are encouraged to apply. Must have BLS and state-specific licensing.

Physical Therapists should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. PTs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
