Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Travel Physical Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Lowell, MA. This role offers a full-time, 40-hour work week with dayshift scheduling.

You will evaluate patients, develop individualized rehab plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to restore mobility and reduce pain. A valid PT license and BLS certification are required; new grads are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapy license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• New grads welcome to apply (not required).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients’ physical conditions using tests, history and exams to identify functional limitations.
• Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals.
• Implement PT treatment plans to improve mobility and reduce pain.
• Operate PT equipment and modalities safely and ensure device maintenance.
• Document evaluations, interventions and outcomes in the medical record.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other professionals for coordinated care.
• Educate patients and caregivers on home programs and injury prevention.
• Maintain a safe treatment environment following infection control protocols.
• Engage in quality assurance and professional development to stay current.
• Assist with discharge planning for smooth transitions to home or community settings.
• Perform other duties within scope of practice.
