Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Washington, DC. This travel PT role requires 40 hours per week, with 8-hour days and a focus on coordinating care in a hospital or clinical setting.

Candidates should have at least 6 months of PT experience (1 year preferred) and current BLS and state licensure. New grads may apply. The assignment offers weekly pay and a tax-free stipend, with benefits through TotalMed Allied.

Qualifications

• 6 months of PT experience required; new grads may apply.
• Must have BLS and state-specific licensing.
• Able to stand and walk for long periods; strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Oversee supervising PTAs and therapy staff.
• Bill within the setting following facility guidelines.
• Understand state PT board rules and regulations and comply accordingly in the state.
• Interface with Medical Center staff and physicians to ensure plan of care.
• Understand adaptive equipment.
• Evaluate and create a plan of care; modify as needed based on patient condition.
• Use Medical Center computer systems for daily tasks.
• Provide timely and accurate documentation per state and/or insurer guidelines.
