Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for an opening in Washington, DC. The PT will evaluate patients, develop, and execute care plans in the acute care setting, while coordinating with physicians and staff.

The ideal candidate has 1 year of PT experience (6 months may be accepted for exceptional backgrounds) and must hold BLS and DC state licensure. The role involves 10-hour shifts, 30 hours per week, and tax-free stipends where applicable.

Qualifications

• 1 year of PT experience in acute care preferred; 6 months acceptable for exceptional candidate
• BLS certification and DC state licensing required
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods and perform bending/stooping as needed
• Solid knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and develop a plan of care for diverse patient populations
• Oversee supervision of PTAs and therapy staff
• Bill within the setting following facility guidelines
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation per state and insurer requirements
• Interface with Medical Center personnel and physicians to coordinate care

The right PT should have 1 year of experience; for an exceptional candidate with an appropriate background, 6 months of experience may be accepted.
