Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Travel Physical Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Waterville, Maine. The role involves evaluating patients, designing personalized rehab plans, and delivering hands-on therapy in a fast-paced setting.

You will collaborate with a clinical team, document progress, and educate patients for long-term recovery while maintaining safety and regulatory standards in all settings.

Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapy license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• Doctorate in physical therapy preferred; experience beneficial for travel roles.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients’ physical conditions using tests, exams, and history to identify needs.
• Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and goals.
• Implement treatment plans to improve mobility and reduce pain.
• Operate and maintain PT equipment safely and effectively.
• Document evaluations, interventions, and outcomes in medical records.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other therapists to optimize care.
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise and injury prevention.
• Maintain a safe environment adhering to infection control and safety standards.
• Engage in quality assurance and ongoing professional development.
• Assist with discharge planning for community or home-based settings.
• Perform other duties within scope of practice as needed.
