Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a 14-week assignment in Wallingford, CT. The role offers 40 hours per week across 8-hour shifts, with comprehensive benefits and support from a dedicated clinical team.

The candidate will evaluate and treat patients, develop individualized plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care in hospital or clinic settings.

Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapy license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients’ physical conditions using tests and history to identify functional limitations.
• Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and goals.
• Implement PT treatment plans to improve mobility and reduce pain.
• Operate PT equipment safely and calibrate devices as needed.
• Document evaluations, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the medical record.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other health professionals for coordinated care.
• Educate patients on home exercise programs and body mechanics.
• Maintain infection control and safety standards during therapy sessions.
• Participate in quality assurance and ongoing professional development.
• Assist with discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions to home-based care.
