Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a travel assignment in Anchorage, Alaska. The PT will evaluate patients, develop and execute plans of care in an acute care setting, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

Requirements include 1 year of experience (6 months may be considered for exceptional cases), BLS, and state licensing. The role involves supervising staff and managing documentation while providing quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Must have 6 months of experience; however, new grads are encouraged to apply.
• Must have BLS and state-specific licensing.
• PTs should be able to stand and walk for long periods; bend, lean or stoop.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Oversee supervising PTAs and therapy staff.
• Bill within the respective setting following guidelines.
• Comply with state PT board rules and regulations.
• Interface with Medical Center personnel and physicians for a team-focused plan of care.
• Understand adaptive equipment as needed.
• Evaluate and create a plan of care.
• Modify plan of care as patient condition changes.
• Use hospital computer systems for daily tasks.
• Provide timely and accurate documentation per guidelines.
