Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Springfield, MO. The PT will work 40 hours per week, with 10-hour day shifts, in an acute care setting and manage a plan of care for diverse patient populations.

The role requires 6 months of experience (6 months accepted for exceptional candidates), BLS, and state licensing. New grads are welcome to apply. The position includes weekly pay and benefits as listed by TotalMed Allied.

Qualifications

• Must have 6 months of experience; new grads encouraged.
• Must have BLS and state-specific licensing.
• Physical Therapists should be able to stand and walk for long periods and have knowledge of anatomy, physiology and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Oversee supervising PTAs, support staff (therapy technicians)
• Bill within the respective setting, following guidelines within settings for facility
• Understand the respective PT board's rules and regulations, complying within respective state
• Interface with Medical Center personnel and physicians to ensure team-focused plan of care
• Understand adaptive equipment
• Evaluate and create a plan of care
• Modify plan of care as indicated based on patient's condition
• Use Medical Center computer systems in performance of daily tasks
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines
