Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a travel assignment in Danville, Illinois, working in an outpatient therapy setting. You will evaluate and treat patients of all ages with orthopedic and neurologic conditions, using modalities and documentation in a therapy EMR.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM with 40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts, and no weekend or holiday coverage required.

Qualifications

• Must have at least one year of relevant physical therapy experience.
• Outpatient therapy setting experience preferred.
• Bachelors degree in Physical Therapy required.
• IL PT license required.
• BLS (AHA) certification required.
• Experience with modalities including ultrasound, interferential, and iontophoresis.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients of all ages in outpatient setting.
• Address orthopedic and neurologic conditions.
• Document daily progress in therapy EMR.
• Collaborate with the care team and referents as needed.

Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with at least one year of relevant experience to evaluate and treat patients of all ages in an outpatient therapy setting.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy required
• Current IL PT license required
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• Minimum one year of relevant physical therapy experience required
• Experience with therapeutic modalities including ultrasound, interferential, and iontophoresis
• Skilled in objective testing for range of motion, strength, and functional task performance
• Experience with taping for stabilization, facilitation, or inhibition of movement
• Experience with therapy EMR documentation
• License required if applicable

• Evaluates and treats patients, modifying the plan of care as appropriate based on patient response and evidence
• Serves as a role model and clinical resource for staff and students
• Designs individualized plans of care integrating goals, treatment, and discharge planning
• Educates patients, families, caregivers, and students using effective teaching methods
• Performs patient screening and determines need for therapy services when applicable
• Communicates with referring providers regarding patient progress and treatment recommendations
• Monitors and provides feedback on care delivered by support personnel
• Must maintain safe and appropriate body mechanics during patient transfers and care
• Radius rule of 50 miles applies; local candidates not accepted
• RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
