Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a Physical Therapist for an immediate travel assignment in Buckeye, AZ. The role requires 1 year of experience (6 months may be considered for exceptional candidates) and a 13-week duration with 40 hours per week and 8-hour days.

The PT will supervise staff, manage care plans, bill appropriately, and ensure regulatory compliance. Required qualifications include BLS and state licensure, plus strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.

Qualifications

• Must have 6 months of experience in physical therapy; new grads are welcome.
• BLS and state-specific licensure required.
• Able to stand/walk for long periods and perform bends/stoops as needed.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Oversee supervising PTAs and therapy staff in the setting.
• Bill within the facility following setting guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with PT board rules and state regulations.
• Coordinate with Medical Center staff to support care plans.
• Develop and update plan of care; modify as patient condition changes.
• Use center computer systems and document per guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Oversee supervising PTAs, support staff (therapy technicians)
• Bill within the respective setting, following guidelines within settings for facility
• Understand the respective PT board's rules and regulations, complying within respective state
• Interface with Medical Center personnel and physicians to ensure team-focused plan of care
• Understand adaptive equipment
• Evaluate and create a plan of care
• Modify plan of care as indicated based on patient's condition
• Use Medical Center computer systems in performance of daily tasks
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines

Requirements

• Must have 6 months of experience; however, new grads are encouraged to apply.
• Must have BLS and state-specific licensing.
• Physical Therapists should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty.
• PTs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
• BLS, 6 Months* Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
