Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a travel assignment in Tucson, Arizona. The PT will evaluate patients in the acute care setting and develop a plan of care tailored to diverse populations.

Applicants should have 1 year of PT experience (6 months may be considered for exceptional candidates) and hold BLS and state licensure. The role involves 40 hours per week with 8-hour shifts and travel staffing benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have 6 months of experience; 1 year preferred; exceptional candidates with 6 months may be considered.
• Must have BLS and state-specific physical therapy licensure.
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods and perform assessments and plan of care.

Responsibilities

• Oversee supervising PTAs, support staff (therapy technicians).
• Bill within the respective setting, following facility guidelines.
• Understand PT board rules and state regulations and comply.
• Interface with Medical Center personnel and physicians for a team-based plan of care.
• Assess and create a plan of care; modify as patient condition changes.
• Use Medical Center computer systems for daily tasks.
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state/insurance guidelines.

We are looking for a Physical Therapist (PT) for an immediate travel opening in Tucson, AZ. The right PT should have 1 year of experience; for an exceptional candidate with an appropriate background, 6 months of experience may be accepted. Read below for additional requirements.As a PT, you will be responsible for the evaluation, development, and execution of a plan of care for a variety of patient populations in the acute care setting.

TasksAs a PT, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:Oversee supervising PTAs, support staff (therapy technicians)Bill within the respective setting, following guidelines within settings for facilityUnderstand the respective PT board's rules and regulations, complying within respective stateInterface with Medical Center personnel and physicians to ensure team-focused plan of careUnderstand adaptive equipmentEvaluate and create a plan of careModify plan of care as indicated based on patient's conditionUse Medical Center computer systems in performance of daily tasksProvide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines

RequirementsMust have 6 months of experience; however, new grads are encouraged to apply. Must have BLS and state-specific licensing.Physical Therapists should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. PTs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.

Requirements*:BLS, 2 Years* Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
