Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a Physical Therapist for a travel assignment in Longview, Washington. The PT will evaluate and implement a plan of care for various patient populations in the acute care setting.

The right candidate will possess at least 6 months of experience (6 months may be accepted for exceptional candidates), BLS and state licensing, and the ability to stand/walk for long periods. Assignment runs 13 weeks, 40 hours/week, days shift.

Qualifications

• Must have 6 months of experience; however, new grads are encouraged to apply.
• Must have BLS and state-specific licensing.
• PTs should be able to stand/walk for long periods and have anatomy knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Oversee supervising PTAs and support staff.
• Bill within the setting following facility guidelines.
• Understand PT board rules and state regulations.
• Interface with Medical Center staff/physicians for plan of care.
• Evaluate and create a plan of care; modify as needed.

We are looking for a Physical Therapist (PT) for an immediate travel opening in Longview, WA. The right PT should have 1 year of experience; for an exceptional candidate with an appropriate background, 6 months of experience may be accepted. Read below for additional requirements.As a PT, you will be responsible for the evaluation, development, and execution of a plan of care for a variety of patient populations in the acute care setting.

Tasks

TasksAs a PT, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:Oversee supervising PTAs, support staff (therapy technicians)Bill within the respective setting, following guidelines within settings for facilityUnderstand the respective PT board's rules and regulations, complying within respective stateInterface with Medical Center personnel and physicians to ensure team-focused plan of careUnderstand adaptive equipmentEvaluate and create a plan of careModify plan of care as indicated based on patient's conditionUse Medical Center computer systems in performance of daily tasksProvide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines

Requirements

Must have 6 months of experience; however, new grads are encouraged to apply. Must have BLS and state-specific licensing.Physical Therapists should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. PTs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
