Job summary

TotalMed Allied seeks a traveling Physical Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Mableton, GA. The role requires 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day, days shift, travel employment.

Candidates need 1 year of experience (6 months for exceptional candidates), BLS, and state licensing. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology is essential. Additional certifications may be required before starting.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience (6 months for exceptional candidate)
• BLS certification required
• State-specific licensing required
• Must have 6 months of experience; new graduates encouraged to apply
• Able to stand/walk long periods, bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning assignment

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, develop and execute a plan of care for various patient populations in acute care
• Oversee supervising PTAs and therapy technicians
• Bill within the setting following facility guidelines
• Comply with state PT board rules and regulations
• Coordinate with Medical Center staff and physicians to ensure a team-based plan of care
• Understand and use adaptive equipment
• Evaluate and create a plan of care; modify as patient condition changes
• Use Medical Center computer systems for daily tasks
• Provide timely and accurate documentation per state/insurance guidelines
