Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a 13-week travel assignment in Taos, NM. The PT will evaluate patients, develop and execute a plan of care, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in an acute care setting.

Immediate opening with 38 hours per week; 1 year of experience preferred, but exceptional candidates with 6 months may be considered. BLS and state licensing are required for practice in the clinical setting.

Qualifications

• 1 year of PT experience required; 6 months may be considered for exceptional candidates.
• BLS certification and valid state-specific PT license required.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods; knowledge of anatomy and physiology.

Responsibilities

• Oversee supervising PTAs and support staff.
• Bill within the respective setting following guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with state PT board rules and regulations.
• Coordinate with Medical Center personnel and physicians for plan of care.
• Understand adaptive equipment and evaluate patient needs.
• Evaluate and create a plan of care; modify as needed.
• Document timely and accurate notes per state/insurance guidelines.
• Use Medical Center computer systems in daily tasks.

We are looking for a Physical Therapist (PT) for an immediate travel opening in Taos, NM. The right PT should have 1 year of experience; for an exceptional candidate with an appropriate background, 6 months of experience may be accepted. Read below for additional requirements.As a PT, you will be responsible for the evaluation, development, and execution of a plan of care for a variety of patient populations in the acute care setting.

Tasks

As a PT, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:

• Oversee supervising PTAs, support staff (therapy technicians)
• Bill within the respective setting, following guidelines within settings for facility
• Understand the respective PT board's rules and regulations, complying within respective state
• Interface with Medical Center personnel and physicians to ensure team-focused plan of care
• Understand adaptive equipment
• Evaluate and create a plan of care
• Modify plan of care as indicated based on patient's condition
• Use Medical Center computer systems in performance of daily tasks
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines

RequirementsMust have 6 months of experience; however, new grads are encouraged to apply. Must have BLS and state-specific licensing.Physical Therapists should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. PTs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
