Job summary

TotalMed Allied seeks a travel Physical Therapist for an Albuquerque, NM assignment. The PT will evaluate and implement a plan of care for diverse patient populations in acute care, supervising PTAs and collaborating with center staff.

The role requires 6 months of experience (6 months accepted for exceptional candidates), BLS, and state licensing, with 40 hours per week on 8-hour day shifts. Immediate travel opening with tax-free stipend details to be confirmed.

Qualifications

• Must have 6 months of experience; new grads encouraged.
• Must have BLS and state-specific licensing.
• PTs should be able to stand and walk for long periods, and bend, lean or stoop.
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee supervising PTAs and support staff.
• Bill within the respective setting following guidelines.
• Interface with Medical Center personnel and physicians to ensure team-focused plan of care.
• Understand PT board's rules and regulations for the state.
• Evaluate and create a plan of care and modify as indicated.
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state/insurance guidelines.

We are looking for a Physical Therapist (PT) for an immediate travel opening in Albuquerque, NM. The right PT should have 1 year of experience; for an exceptional candidate with an appropriate background, 6 months of experience may be accepted. Read below for additional requirements. As a PT, you will be responsible for the evaluation, development, and execution of a plan of care for a variety of patient populations in the acute care setting.

Tasks

As a PT, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks: Oversee supervising PTAs, support staff (therapy technicians) Bill within the respective setting, following guidelines within settings for facility Understand the respective PT board's rules and regulations, complying within respective state Interface with Medical Center personnel and physicians to ensure team-focused plan of care Understand adaptive equipment Evaluate and create a plan of care Modify plan of care as indicated based on patient's condition Use Medical Center computer systems in performance of daily tasks Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines.

Requirements

Must have 6 months of experience; however, new grads are encouraged to apply. Must have BLS and state-specific licensing.
