Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Fairview Hospital is seeking a Phlebotomy Technician to join our team. The role travels to nursing homes to draw samples and floats to inpatient phlebotomy as needed.

You will perform blood collection, processing and meet HIPAA standards while maintaining safety and accuracy in a fast-paced environment. This is a full-time position with varied shifts (4:00am–4:30pm or 12:30am–1:00pm) and on-call responsibilities, emphasizing prompt, compassionate patient care and precise

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year of phlebotomy experience or equivalent preferred.
• BLS certification required or obtained within three months of hire.
• Valid driver's license with personal auto liability coverage required.

Responsibilities

• Travel to nursing homes to draw samples and provide care to residents.
• Perform blood collection and specimen processing for transport.
• Follow protocol for patient identification, labeling, and test requisitions.
• Provide STAT, scheduled and routine draws and ensure timely delivery to the lab.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and safety procedures.
• Be flexible for a varied schedule and on-call responsibilities.
