Job summary

Htprof in Mission Viejo, CA is seeking a qualified phlebotomist for a contract-to-hire opportunity. You will assist in performing blood draws, labeling specimens, centri fuging, and handling specimen transport across area locations.

Requires pediatric to geriatric experience, phlebotomy certification, 2+ years of experience, a clean driving record, and reliable transportation. The schedule may start as early as 6 AM and include occasional Saturdays with travel between area sites.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you’ll be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months’ work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures and communicates results as required.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients; ensure proper labeling and transportation of specimens.
