Job summary

Polaris Pharmacy Services is hiring a Travel Pharmacy Cubex Technician to support automated dispensing systems, maintain inventory, and visit client facilities to troubleshoot and audit medications.

You will work daytime shifts with alternating weekends, requiring travel and strong organizational skills. Prior LTC pharmacy experience and licensure are preferred, with HIPAA compliance and customer education emphasized.

Qualifications

Pharmacy technician license/certification required by state regulations.
High School diploma or equivalent.
One year of pharmacy experience; long-term care preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain automated dispensing system inventory and restock daily.
Visit customers to troubleshoot problems and perform audits of medication.
Replenishment and maintenance of expired medication in MedBank and related loading/destocking.
Educate customers on using MedBank system.
Handle automation-related issues and liaise with facility staff.
Build relationships with facility administration and staff.
Follow HIPAA and government regulations.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Job Summary:

The Travel Pharmacy Cubex Technician maintains inventory & performs restocks to ensure our clients have an adequate supply of medication. Additionally, they visit clients and troubleshoots problems with the automated technology. This position acts as the point of contact for the automated dispensing system.

Schedule: Day shift with alternating weekends

Duties/Responsibilities:

Maintain automated dispensing system inventory and restock on a daily basis.
Visit customers to troubleshoot problems and perform audits of medication as necessary.
Replenishment and maintenance of expired medication in MedBank as well as loading/destocking
Educate customers on utilizing Med Bank system
Handle all automation-related issues.
Build relationships with facility administration and staff
Follow all applicable government regulations including HIPAA
Other duties as assigned; Job duties may vary depending on business needs
Perform other duties assigned by management.
Medication Ekit checks
Knowledge of Data Entry and / or IV experience is a plus.
Perform other duties assigned by management.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Experience in pharmacy automation (Pyxis, Omnicell, Medbank) preferred.
Pharmacy technician licenses/certifications required by state regulations and state of practice
High School diploma or equivalent
Previous pharmacy experience required (one-year experience in long-term care preferred)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

May sit or stand seven (7) to ten (10) hours per day
The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, bend, walk
May be necessary to work extended hours as needed
May lift and/or move up to 30 pounds

HOLIDAY & PTO POLICY

Paid holidays are provided annually, with 6 days offered each year, along with 5 sick days.
Employees earn up to 10 PTO days each year, with rollover options and milestone bonuses.
Employees have the option to cash out up to 10 PTO hours each quarter for added financial flexibility.

Please note, because we are a pharmacy most of our locations are open 24-hours a day, 7 days a week and therefore schedules may change as determined by the needs of the business.
