Job summary

Healthforce is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist for a travel assignment in Boston, MA. The role focuses on pediatric feeding and swallowing in an acute care setting, with inpatient and outpatient care, supervision by the Pedi SLP Section Leader, and onboarding/completion of competency sign-offs.

The 26-week assignment starts 12/14/2026, offers guaranteed 40 hours per week, and daytime shifts (Mon–Fri, 8:00 am–4:30 pm), with weekly pay. Local pay varies within 50 miles.

Qualifications

• Active MA State Licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP).
• Current CPR Certification.
• Minimum 3 years pediatric feeding and swallowing experience.
• Experience across NICU, Pediatric Inpatient Floor, PICU; trach/vent management; EPIC experience.
• Ability to work across inpatient and outpatient pediatric care environments.
• Availability to attend all team meetings during scheduled hours.
• Competency in SLP department training and clinical standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform pediatric feeding and swallowing assessments, including bedside swallow evaluations and MBS when appropriate.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans for pediatric feeding and swallowing disorders.
• Document evaluations, progress, and outcomes in EPIC and ensure standards adherence.
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and coordinate care with nurses, physicians, and families.
• Provide education to families on feeding strategies, safety, and home-program implementation.
• Transition patients between inpatient and outpatient care and participate in program planning.
• Complete SLP onboarding and competency sign-off and maintain clinical adherence.
