Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Pediatric Physical Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Apple Valley, California. The PT will evaluate and implement a plan of care for diverse pediatric populations in an acute care setting.

Ideal candidates have at least 6 months of experience (1 year preferred) and must hold BLS and state-specific licensure; new grads are welcome to apply. Travel shifts are 8 hours per day, 40 hours weekly, with a tax-free stipend TBD.

Qualifications

• Must have 6 months of experience; new grads encouraged.
• BLS and state-specific licensing required.
• Stand/walk for long periods; able to bend, lean or stoop as needed.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Oversee supervising PTAs and therapy staff.
• Bill within the setting following facility guidelines.
• Follow state PT board rules and regulations.
• Coordinate with Medical Center personnel and physicians for a team-based plan of care.
• Understand adaptive equipment and plan of care.
• Evaluate and modify the plan of care as patient condition changes.
• Use hospital computer systems for daily tasks.
• Provide timely and accurate documentation per state/insurance rules.
