Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Stepdown for a travel nursing job in Atlanta, GA. The PCU RN will provide specialized care for patients requiring close monitoring and frequent assessment in a fast-paced setting.

Requirements include ACLS, BLS, and 1.5 years of recent acute care experience. The assignment runs 13 weeks with 36 hours per week, typically night shifts of 12 hours. TotalMed RN offers a pay package with a tax-free stipend, and benefits begin on day one.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• 1.5 years of recent acute care experience required.
• PCU/stepdown travel assignment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care and stabilize critically ill cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and document prescribed medications and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Monitor and interpret patient data and equipment; respond to abnormal readings.
• Collaborate with the care team to initiate corrective actions as needed.
