Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a Progressive Care Unit RN travel nurse for a 13-week assignment in Bridgeton, MO. This PCU RN will monitor patients who require close observation and frequent assessment but not ICU-level care, with duties spanning bedside care, medication administration, and equipment monitoring.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of acute care experience, ACLS/BLS certifications, and can work 12-hour night shifts (36 hours/week) in a fast-paced travel setting.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• 1-2 years recent acute care experience as PCU RN.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care; stabilize cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication.
• Monitor equipment and interpret electronic displays.
• Initiate corrective action based on monitoring data.
