Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Float PCU - Progressive Care Unit Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Beaufort, SC. This 13-week assignment requires 36 hours per week on a 12-hour shift.

Active RN license and a nursing degree from an accredited program are required, along with BLS certification and 18 months of recent PCU/step-down experience. Travel benefits include housing options, weekly pay, and credentialing support.

Qualifications

Active RN license required.
Degree from accredited nursing program required.
BLS certification required.
Eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care PCU/Step-down setting.

Responsibilities

Assesses patient needs, signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in the patient's condition. Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
Collects, analyzes, and interprets data from health care members and documents actual and/or potential nursing diagnoses.
Documents the patient's plan of care using identified nursing diagnoses, expected patient outcomes, and selected nursing interventions.
Initiates and evaluates patient and/or family education.
Revises and documents the plan of care according to evaluation, changes in medical plan of care, and effective/ineffective nursing interventions.
