Job summary

TotalMed is seeking a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) travel nurse to join our team for a 13-week assignment in Boone, NC. The PCU nurse will care for patients requiring close monitoring with frequent assessments, often in a non-ICU setting.

The RN should have 1–2 years of acute care experience, ACLS/BLS/PALS, and NIH certifications. The role includes 36 hours per week over 12-hour nights shifts and potential pay package details as described by TotalMed RN.

Qualifications

• Must have 1–2 years recent acute care experience.
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIH certifications required.
• 13-week travel assignment with 36 hours per week and nights.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care and stabilise cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications and monitor reactions.
• Monitor and adjust equipment and interpret electronic displays.
• Initiate corrective actions based on monitoring data.
