Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Columbia, Missouri. This role is a 13-week assignment, 36 hours per week, on night shifts.

The PCU RN cares for patients requiring close monitoring, uses telemetry, and may titrate IV meds. ACLS and BLS are required; 1 year of acute care experience preferred. Immediate opening with weekly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• ACLS, BLS, 1 Year*
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care; stabilize critical cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.
• Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients, and interpret and record electronic displays.
• Initiate corrective action whenever information from monitoring equipment shows adverse symptomatology.
