Job summary

TotalMed RN seeks a travel nurse for the Progressive Care Unit in Sioux Falls, SD. The assignment is 13 weeks with 36 hours per week, 12-hour rotating shifts. Acute care experience and PCU skills are desirable for timely patient monitoring and care.

As a PCU RN, you will monitor cardiac patients, titrate IV meds, and manage equipment. This travel role emphasizes rapid assessment, safety, and collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams in a dynamic setting.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certifications required for PCU travel assignments.
• 1–2 years of recent acute care experience preferred.
• Ability to cope with a fast-paced, high-stress environment.

Responsibilities

• Care for PCU patients requiring close monitoring and frequent assessment.
• Monitor cardiac and other vital signs; titrate medications as needed.
• Administer prescribed meds, monitor equipment, and document changes.
• Stabilize and assist with patient transfers as requested.
• Maintain bedside care and support for patients and families.
