Job summary

Cross Country Nurses in Madison, WI is seeking a travel nurse RN for the PCU - Progressive Care Unit. You will provide high-quality patient care on a 12-hour day shift and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Valid BLS certification required.
• Valid ACLS certification (if CIRH) required.
• Minimum 2 years bedside clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessment within 8 hours of admission.
• Provide timely patient information and status updates for conferences and documentation.
• Direct patient care using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate.
• Initiate discharge planning on the day of admission and educate patient for discharge.
• Supervise and train nursing staff and orientees; delegate appropriately.
• Ensure safety and maintain open communication with management regarding supplies and equipment.
