Job summary

TotalMed RN in Mesa, AZ is seeking a travel nurse for the Progressive Care Unit (PCU). This 52-week assignment starts 10/26/2026 and requires 36 hours per week on a 12-hour night shift, with travel employment status.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in acute care, BLS and ACLS, and the ability to monitor patients and respond to changes quickly. The PCU role includes bedside care, IVs, dressings, meds, and using monitors for critical changes.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 1–2 years of acute care experience.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• PCU/step-down experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care; stabilize critical cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting adverse reactions.
• Monitor equipment and interpret displays.
• Initiate corrective action when monitoring shows adverse symptoms.
