Job summary

TotalMed RN in Denver, Colorado is seeking a Travel nurse RN for Intermediate Care (PCU) with a 13-week assignment and 36 hours per week on a 12-hour day shift.

The PCU RN provides monitoring, administers meds, and supports cardiac step-down patients; requires 1-2 years acute care and ACLS/BLS certifications.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of recent acute care experience.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Able to work in a fast-paced PCU environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care and stabilize critical cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs.
• Prepare and administer prescribed medications and monitor reactions.
• Monitor specialized equipment and interpret electronic displays.
• Respond quickly to adverse symptoms and initiate corrective actions.
