Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Goldsboro, North Carolina. The PCU RN will monitor cardiac and other vital signs, manage medications, and perform step-down care in a fast-paced environment. Illicit activity and unsafe practices are not tolerated.

Requirements include ACLS and BLS certifications, with 1–2 years of recent acute care experience. This travel assignment spans 13 weeks with 48 hours per week on a 12-hour day shift.

Qualifications

• PCU travel nurse role requires close monitoring and frequent assessment.
• 1-2 years recent acute care experience preferred.
• Cardiac/step-down monitoring and IV medication administration may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care and stabilize cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and document prescribed meds; report adverse reactions.
• Monitor and interpret patient monitoring equipment and record data.
• Respond to changes in patient condition and initiate interventions.
