Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Oklahoma, Oklahoma. The PCU/Med Surg travel RN will provide bedside care, monitor patient conditions, and administer medications on a 12-hour night shift across a 36-hour work week.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of recent acute care experience and current BLS/PALS certifications. This position is travel nursing, with benefits including weekly pay and guaranteed hours.

Qualifications

• BLS and PALS certifications required.
• 1 year of clinical experience in acute care.
• Travel RN in Med Surg/PCU with 1-2 years recent acuity gain.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care and stabilize patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and document medications and monitor reactions.
• Monitor patient status with vital signs and alarms.
• Respond to changes in patient condition and initiate corrective actions.
