Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Natchez, Mississippi. The PCU RN will monitor and care for patients requiring close monitoring, handling medications and IV therapy as needed.

This travel assignment is 13 weeks, with 36 hours per week on a 12-hour night shift. ACLS, BLS, PALS and 2 years of acute care experience are required; travel experience preferred. TotalMed offers weekly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• ACLS, BLS, PALS, 2 Years of experience in healthcare required.
• 1-2 years recent acute care experience preferred.
• PCU Travel Nurse position information and responsibilities described in the posting.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care and stabilize cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Monitor equipment and interpret electronic displays for patient status.
• Respond to monitoring data and intervene as needed.
