Job summary
Medical Solutions is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Salem, Virginia. This 13-week assignment offers 36 hours per week with a 12-hour night shift and travel benefits.
You will work in a 15-bed PCU with 22 staff, including RN and PCT, using Meditech EMR. Must have BLS and ACLS, PCU experience, and knowledge of cardiac rhythms. Medical Solutions provides housing, stipends, and comprehensive benefits.

Tell us about the unit(s): Number of Beds – 15 beds Number of Staff – 22 (RN/PCT) Type of staff: o Day Shift – 3-4RN, 2 PCT, 1 Clinical Coordinator o Night Shift – 3-4 RN 1 PCT Patient Ratios – 4-5/1 Type of equipment – Cardiac Telemetry, Chest tubes, Cardiac drips(NTG, Cardizem, Amiodarone), Post Cath Patients, post-surgical patients to include open heart, lung patients, general surgery patients, post op orthopedic patients that require cardiac monitoring. EMR – Meditech Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. PCU experience Knowledge of cardiac rhythms and surgical patients Chest tube management, epidurals List typical procedures performed on unit(s): Post cardiac cath, EP studies, device placements, groin management, chest tubes , post op surgical patients Critical drips, epidurals, PCA REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS: BLS & ACLS Floating Area(s): ICU taking PCU type patients, PCU, Med-surg (taking 5 patients)
